Awesome! Thanks for the heads up.
We did a CORE I training last year, and I've been meaning to inquire about
doing CORE II at sudo - this session is more tailored toward community
preparedness, while CORE I focuses on individual households.

Subject: bringing CORE trainings to our 'hood
Hi Adams Point friends and neighbors,
I think many of you know that Andrew and I have been participating in the
Fire Dept's free community disaster preparation training over the last few
months. With the threat of fire looming over us (in addition to
earthquakes), we feel some increased urgency in making sure we, as
neighbors are prepared. We've been working with some other neighbors to
bring CORE I and II trainings right here to Adams Point on Sat, March 1st
at the Bellevue Club.
In the event of a disaster,
like a fire or earthquake, we will be on our own for 7-10 days.... So
this is a great opportunity for us to prepare as neighbors. We must
register - follow the link here or below:
http://gatheringadamspoint.wordpress.com.. Also, if you are interested,
but can't make the date, the FD has additional trainings scheduled at other
locations:
http://www2.oaklandnet.com/oakca1/groups/fire/documents/webcontent/oak04420…
I hope you'll think about joining for at least CORE I - the morning
training. Please forward to others who you think may be interested.
Take care,
Miriam
