I love that idea. But it brings up a recurring issue I find: I don’t know how to do that or where to find those things, so my ability to get a Sudo Room shirt is locked behind this barrier that is institutional knowledge (where shit is) and technical knowledge (how to use it). I think this raises an important question on which I’d like input. Who among us sees Sudo room as a place to *actively* spread knowledge, and broaden the ability of members of our community to create things for themselves, and one another? Alternatively, who, among us sees sudo room as a *passive* offering for those capable of making use of it? This isn’t meant to be a contentious question, but I often think part of our challenge is in coming to a common understanding of what it is we’re trying to do. I think part of my tension in interacting with SudoRoom is that I would like it to be a place where the people who know how to do things measure their success in how well they bring others along with them. Whereas I think that the existing expectation is that this is a place for students to find teachers instead of the other way around. And this manifests in things such as tools and educational resources being technically available, but not accessible in an intentional way. *Bringing this back to the practical: *if someone is willing to show me how to screen print shirts I would really like to do so. If that’s not possible, though, I think we should accept that and order shirts. Does anyone know where these materials are and have the patience to show me? Also, I agree with Juliana that we should use this to generate revenue. If we can screen print them, I think we should make a bunch and offer them to anyone who wants one for free, but ask for a voluntary donation. If we have to pay for them, though, I think we should just sell them.
