Hi Sudoers,
So many amazing Earth Day events coming up this week! I wanted to highlight
one today that's close to home for our community, and then another I'm
co-hosting as part of the east Bay permaculture guild in a few weeks:
*Black Earth Day – TODAY!*
Hosted by EBPREC/Calli (who owns the Omni, where Sudo is a tenant), Black
Earth Day is a beautiful, BIPOC-led gathering with the vision of ending the
speculative housing market in the East Bay—land without landlords! There’ll
be free food and a chance to connect with the folks we worked with to help
save the Omni.

*Co-Creating a Thriving Future for the Bay Area: An Unconference*
*Saturday, May 3rd @ Laney College, Oakland*
This is a participant-driven gathering for anyone passionate about
regeneration, resilience, community building, and systems change. We’ll
co-create the agenda together—so if you have ideas for tech & justice,
housing, land stewardship, mutual aid, or anything else, bring them!

I’d love to see Sudo Room folks represented at both events—and I think it
would be fantastic for Sudo Room to consider co-sponsoring or partnering
with the unconference (no cost, just solidarity and helping spread the
word). If you’re interested, let’s chat!
Hope to see some of you at Black Earth Day today and at the unconference in
May!
In solidarity,
