Hello Sudoers(and David),
I just wanted to say again how awesome this and as consequence
'''you'''
are. A few things came up in and after the meeting which I wanted to
comment on.
a) Be it legally as it may I strongly believe that every Member of
an OMNI member collective is a member of Omni.
b) Some people rised concerns that we did not really get to address
the real concerns like Access and envisioning of The Space and Sudoroom
itself but based on my limited sample of Sudomeetings this was better
than par productivity wise. And this gives us time to prepare our
thoughts on this. I will have started this page

see d) for the Title @Matt is it possible to create a shortcut (maybe OO
;-))to link to pages in the OO wiki like it is possible in the Wikimedia
Universe? Also this gives the Omni time to catch up although this might
not happen because the meeting today turned into this crazy Potluck.
c) The Space feels cluttered and nobody now where the scissors
are: mho is that we should embrace a) and make us aware that everything
we give to the Omni Commons is still ours and we are the Collective with
the most manpower and DIY Attitude. How for instance about creating a
temporary Office/Frontdesk behind the bar directly opposite to the front
door with a working Network Printer, Scissors!, scotchtape Ductape and
sharpies. I will hack on this tonight if I can find the equipment. What
is a affordable place for Office supplies and Who and how are
procurement requests handles anyway.
d) When is the reboot over? I say it was the Moment we started the
first Meeting in The Omni more also onwiki.
Finally I wanted to say, although I think it is awesome that you hit the
ground running, after the first kinks have been sorted out some of the
key figures should get some rest before they really join the Ghosts
Haunting this house.

Actually this is something that I wanted to talk about at the meeting last
night, but was no time. I know I need to take some time off organizing -
and there are people that worked harder on the move than myself. I have
burned out with sudo before, and I can feel it coming on again. So I am
going to take a step back, and I encourage anyone else that needs to
recharge their mental health to do the same.

New subject: sudo shop 2.0
not sure how much has been done since tuesday (couldn't make it to the
meeting last night but didn't see it mentioned in the meeting minutes)
but what are peoples' thoughts on setting up our new and improved shop?
what are some additional capabilities we want? how should things be
arranged spatially? alot is still being figured out with CCL as far as
where things will go and whatnot so we should be staying in touch with
them and scheming up a storm! a long bench w/outlets across the whole
back wall would be pretty sweet and usable interchangeably by both
groups
i would like to bring in some metalworking tools now that we have a nice
concrete floor. ventilation and dust collection will require attention.
I propose the far back corner of sudo room's loosely designated area to
nucleate the heavy machinery cluster since that will be out of the way
and unlikely to conflict. i can bring in a welder, a tiny lathe, and a
tiny milling machine next week if that's desirable. other heavy machines
that might be beneficial include an abrasive saw, a plasma torch, a
sheet metal brake, etc. has anyone scouted the availability of 220V
power?
we could greatly benefit from agreeing on how the shop space is to be
used as a group with many diverse objectives, where tools go when not in
use (wood shop, metal shop, 3d printing shop), designate a few areas to
be kept clear when not in use, etc. that was a perennial problem at the
last spot which i think arose out of honest doocratic repurposing of the
space, but could be improved upon by intentional layout so that the shop
stays maximally usable for everyone.

New subject: sudo shop 2.0
I think our biggest challenges include:
1. We can't fit most of our stuff in our space yet.
2. There is a lot of junk left over we may or may not want, some of this
is going to have to go away, simply to make room.
3. Most of the shelving that was in the space already needs serious
repair/attention. We have our own shelves, and some new shelving still in
boxes. As soon as these can be assembled, we can get stuff out of the
middle of the room and off the floor, as well as up from the basement.
4. Most of the walls do not have outlets, and the few obvious outlets in
the room do not work at the moment. We've run some temporary extensions,
but need to deal with improving the outlet access ASAP.
5. The books still on shelves in the basement, if they are abandoned
from the landlord, can be consolidated, and we can start to put the sudo
books on the shelves proximal to our room's basement entrance.
6. Where to put the pews and bookshelves currently residing in the cafe
/ bookstore?
As for a shop, I think a good chunk of the "bocce ball" space can be set up
as a shop since we'll be able to carry on other activities and be generally
dispersed in several other areas of the building.

(a) I agree in the sense that The Omni will not flower without attention
and intention from our sudo room community. We have an opportunity to
co-create this blossoming, and a responsibility to share our knowledge and
experience far and wide, while remaining receptive, empathetic, and open to
the entirety of the Omni collective.
(b) I think it's okay we didn't get to everything last night, we have to
balance ourselves and our time. As we move along, it's going to be critical
to keep our focus and to organize ourselves fruitfully. Thanks for setting

(c) If anyone is able to fix / setup shelving throughout the space, I think
we'll be able to be a lot less cluttered and give ourselves the room to
organize moving forward.
(d) I agree, I think the Reboot should be over as of now. We've booted and
are interfacing with the application layer. Which processes will you be
kicking up next?
