we picked up those tables that were on craigslist a few days ago.
there are 5 small ones and 3 large ones. they are very strong, and have
places for outlets so we can get rid of the extension cords.
if we cut two of the long ones length-wise to be the same width as the
short ones, then we can have the same exact table situation we have going
on right now but with much stronger and nicer tables.

By the way - does Sudo actually need all the lab benches we got for you a
few months ago? My original understanding was that some of those were going
to be used to replace the meeting tables as well (after taking the risers
off).
We belatedly remembered that we wanted to keep two of those lab benches for
our microscopy room in CCL. We can get a few more from the same source, but
that would involve arranging another truck pickup etc.
I felt that space in Sudo is getting a bit cramped with the number of lab
benches that are there now. If other folks in Sudo feel like the optimal
number would be 2 fewer than there are currently, CCL has a good use for
them...

PS: Are we hanging on to the old tables for use by events in the Omni
ballroom? CCL will likely be replacing its foldup tables as well some time
soon.

we're def. going to have some left over big white tables that have
(optional) risers which would make good meeting tables for you. they are
adjustable height unlike the electronics benches.
the old tables we have no plans for, if they want to be used for special
events I don't see any issue with that

How wide are they? we need them to put along the wall in our small
microscopy room in the back, so relatively narrow ones with risers would be
preferred.

+1 on giving a workbench or two to CCL and the old folding tables to Omni

-1 on giving the old folding tables to omni - they're in terrible shape and
been thinking omni should invest in a bunch of nice ones we can rent out
for events. there's a dump run tentatively scheduled for 11/2 (could use
help if anyone can lend a hand) - thank you adam for your continual awesome
upgrades!! :D

I think sudoroom should totally send a couple of the lab benches back over to
CCL, it is pretty crowded right now and it will help to have some movement
space while we're arranging the new tables.
For example we are definitely not wheelchair accessible right now, talking
people can barely pass by when people are sitting in chairs at the main tables.

I think we should follow up on getting more while they are still available,
as they are very nice.
A friend of mine in alameda would like some of these tables too, and can
handle the truck situation, we can have him drop some off at the omni
commons during the adventure.
