Hi Sudoers:
See this RFP for City of Oakland program that Sudoroom could be
potentially qualified to apply for:
https://apps.oaklandca.gov/ContractOpportunities/Opportunity?num=389532,
the close date is Jan 16 but you might contact the contract manager to
see if the date is extended.
If nothing else: applying for this is good practice for Sudoers who are
interested in securing grants for sudoroom.

This looked interesting, so I took a look at the requirements. Here are
the things that stood out:
* They are looking for organizations to deliver career development,
business support, and youth job training - some things that some of us in
Sudo have done, but is not the main project of SudoRoom.
* Vendors need to be signed up as suppliers w/ the City of Oakland.
* The total amount granted for an organization can't be more than 35% of
the total annual organizational budget.
* Many organizations can be given grants, they have a couple million
dollars in total
If anyone is familiar w/ Hack the Hood, this grant looks very similar to
one they used to get off the ground.
