Hey all,
Just posted a draft floor plan proposal to the Omni email lists, which
needs vast improvement, you can see it here:

I also wanted to share a sketch of what CCL and Sudo Room could do with the
bocce ball court in order to contain the CCL lab areas, ensure they are
dust free and secure, and connect to the existing plumbing and water lines.
I suggest CCL enclose two rooms and use a staircase to turn the roof of the
rooms into a lounge. The rest of the space would contain sudo room. Curious
to hear what ya'll think!

Something like a commercial greenhouse structure may work to provide a
dust-free space, and probably wouldn't require a building permit if it's

If CCL doesn't plan to build any walls, then effectively both CCL and sudo
room have to reconcile not having independent access control over their
respective space, only that both groups have access control over one space.
Maybe a 50/50 division is a sub-optimal one, and we should really be
discussing the entire bocce ball court together, integrating our projects.
This would allow CCL to provide access control over free-standing
structures (I mentioned wikihouse

would be perfect for this) and maybe sudo would want to build one or two
too for close-conversation amid noise, etc. However, access control to the
rest of the space would need to be reconciled between sudo and ccl.
Meaning, we allow the general public to be there as "prospective members"
whenever a member is around.
What do you all think about that?

I find it really hard to evaluate anything about these floor plans
without ever having seen Omni. Is there a scheduled time when we will
be taking a second look?

Unfortunately the landlord is apparently impatient about the number of
tours we've already had through the space. I assume there will be time to
go through before signing a lease, but this is ambiguous.

That particular collection doesn't seem all that ample - I know I've seen a
couple more than that, and I believe there's some videos as well, right?
Aren't there a bunch in the old google docs directory as well?
Any chance we could assemble all the pics in one place, and link to them
from the wiki?
