These last few weeks, we've been getting a lot of people for newbie night.
It's a great way to introduce folks to the space, though the way I've been
conducting the night, it's mostly just been an architectural tour. This is
the ballroom, this is the community printing press, this is where the
dumpstered croissants live. Unfortunately, this only prepares people to
navigate the space; not to be excellent sudoers. So I want to open this up
and ask, what else should newbie night cover?
Some important ones:
- our values
- our history
- our safe space agreements
Is there anything else we feel should be added?

maybe these already come up, but i like to ask new people what brings them
here. do they have something in mind? what are they interested in? and then
talk about the resources we have available, people who are interested in
similar things, meetups, etc.

Another thing to add, if they want to become members, is to highlight
the importance of donating to the space via Gratipay.

Thanks for the suggestions! In terms of getting people involved with the
space, what about projects that Sudo hosts? I know there's the mesh net. Is
there anything else? I'd love to talk with someone from the mesh net, by
the way. Right now I can only give a cursory overview of what the project
is doing.

actually no more oakland wiki every other thursday. i took it off the sudo
calendar but it's still on the omni calendar. how do i remove it?

It was not properly removed from the sudo room calendar, but I just did
so. It will sync with the Omni calendar within the next 24 hours. :)
