Hi, I haven't been to the space yet but I thought Software Hack Night would
be a good opportunity to visit. So I was wondering if anyone was planning
on going this week? But more importantly, what day is the event?
It says 4/25, but I noticed it's actually scheduled for midnight. Is it
actually planned for Wed night / Thurs morning? Is it kinda for people who
hang around after the Wednesday party?

i've never heard of "Software Hack Night" is it on the calendar or
something?
I wonder who put it there.
I think it would be great if someone hosted a software hacking night regularly
every week in sudoroom. Tuesdays are "hardware hacking tuesdays" but there is
no requirement that people work on hardware, and it could be the same way for
software night. It's just important to get something regular going.
Wednesday nights are "meeting shaped parties" which are sometimes actual
meetings. They're always a good time to come by, and no reason not to do
software hacking while you're there (except for all the tasty distractions)

"Software Hack Night" is the same event as "Javascript Night":

During the last year, several people started exploring programming topics
that are not Javascript. As a result attendance has been dwindling. In an
effort to make Thursday evening interesting for a larger number of people,
several thought it might be a good idea to use a label that reflects that
intend.
Someone added the new name to the sudoroom calendar a couple of weeks ago,
but unfortunately the information in the now is now incorrect. It probably
should have said something like:
Software Hack Night
Every Thursday, 7:30pm - 9pm at Sudo Room
Come hack on python, javascript, and other programming languages in a
relaxed, informal co-learning environment.
Not stewarded every week – ping the various comms channels to see who’ll
be around!
All skill levels welcome, snacks encouraged <3
I will be there tomorrow.

New subject: incorrect info on website - possible task for Wed meeting
It might be worthwhile to spend a few minutes reviewing the prominent parts of the
sudoroom.org website and wiki during the Wed meeting/party. Perhaps people there could
spot and fix any obvious incorrect info that newbies might be exposed to.

I appreciate this event and I think it would be great if a few people could
prioritize hosting it every week, just to make it a reliable weekly event. I
see that with HHTuesdays, a lot of people who like to come can only make it
occasional tuesdays, so it's good that they know it's always there when they
can make it. And then the more they show up, the more they prioritize it.
I just recently learned how to use javascript in doing web pages so i look
forward to hacking a lot more on this stuff and showing up on thursdays.
