is there some patient human (or equivalent) here that can teach me how to
use the laser cutter? I know almost nothing about such machines beyond a
solid theoretical understanding of how it works. I'm looking for a class or
elmer to teach me how one really uses such machines.

I'm not familiar with the laser cutter at Sudo Room in particular, but I've
used other laser cutters, so maybe we can learn this one together. I'll ask
around too, and when I find someone I'll let you know. If you find
someone who knows how to use this laser cutter first, please let me know.

Sounds like the makings of a co-learning laser cutting recurring
sudoroom event... ;)
