Hi everyone,
Could someone with the blank agenda for tonight's meeting possibly copy it
to https://pad.riseup.net/p/sudoroom or send it to me (I can copy it in)?
Thanks!
Marina
Yo sudosicles,
Sudoshroom has started shrooming today. We have a deal with Farleys and get
their awesome espresso grounds for free. This means that>>
1) right now we got around 3/4lbs of high quality grounds at sudoroom
leftovers. Come pick em up asap and use em in your garden/shrooming. This
wont be the last time we will have leftoer grounds.
2) sudoshroom won\t need grounds collected by ourselves space. We can still
keep collecting but personally Im unsure what it will be used for, because
for shrooming, the grounds we get from farleys are plentiful and with less
risk of contamination, more dry and easier to handle. The alternative to
collecting is composting in the bins mr Senate set up (good job Matt!),
which seems pretty fine too.
Make a great night,
Morten
Hey sudoers!
This email is to remind y'all that this Thursday, Feb 21st from 6:30-9pm we
will be holding our first CORE (Communities of Oakland Respond to
Emergencies) class at sudo room (which will actually be taking place in the
Public School's room as they're hosting a poetry reading that same
evening).
This is the first in a series of three classes offered by Oakland's First
Responders. This class will cover basics of self-reliance in the event of a
disaster or emergency that could take out power and other essential
infrastructure for up to weeks at a time. The CORE I class teaches students
how to prepare a family disaster plan, reduce common household hazards,
create emergency supply kits, and respond to a number of possible
emergencies, including earthquakes and fires.
To RSVP, please email me directly. The current RSVP list is here:

Hi Sudoers
A couple of things. I didn't get much of a response for screening *The
Pirate Bay film* and as Jenny pointed out Tuesdays are super busy. How does
this *Friday 2/22 *work for people? There are no conflicts i can see on
either the Sudo calendar or the Public school.
Also i wanted to know that i've acquired a *first aid kit for Sudoroom* so
we can take it off the wish list. Ill bring it in later in the week.
I am also looking for folks interested in *developing The Public
School *website.
There are a lot of improvements to be made and there is a test server
already running. The site runs on Drupal. So if any dev types have some
extra time or interest i can get you access or we could do a hackathon to
shore up the site.
Best,
Marty

Yo Sudo ers!
A friend of mine (Julian) hurt his back two days ago, and need to go to San
Jose to visit an acupuncturer *today*.
He's looking for a driver with car, to get him there and back. Paid.
Probably a 3-4 hour thing. Reach him: 646.2841.937 tree(a)dreamstand.com
Make a greay day,
Morten
I wasn't able to attend the Javascript meetup this evening but I would like
to reach out to anybody who is attending these meetings and possibly
interact online outside of the meetings IE share code, ideas, projects and
built a rapport. I have a project I'm doing for people interested in audio
& Javascript here http://interactiveaudio.wikiaudio.org . It's a
(slow-moving) tutorial series & I'm still learning and code every day. If I
can contribute anything to sudo room in the way of a knowledge base let me
know. I have extensive knowledge of audio as well as an increasing
understanding of *web audio*. Please reach out 510 816 2816.
I'm actually curious if sudo room has a projector that can be hooked up to
a computer in the main room to do presentations. I would like to possibly
do a small one on web audio as well as suggest a few on more complicated
concepts like closures and design patterns.
For anyone interested the best way to learn Javascript online (in my
opinion) that I've found thus far is this

I just caught wind of this little project based around participatory
organizations and meant to facilitate policy-driven decision making:

Pretty cool, and something sudoroom might benefit from, given our
diligence in making decisions according to the bylaws we've set forth.
Sometimes these types of tools are too rigid and get in the way of the
in-person decision making process, but this one looks pretty flexible.
Worth playing around with at the very least.
