April just threw in her hat! You may now all throw hats in the direction of the Sudo Board Nominees Riseup pad: https://pad.riseup.net/p/sudoboardnominees 2014-11-20 14:34 GMT-08:00 april glaser <april.glaser(a)riseup.net>: > I'd love to join the board :) > > throwing my hat in! > > On 11/19/14 8:22 PM, Vicky Knox wrote: > > *Are you a member of Sudo Room? a lawyer has landed on our doorsteps

by april glaser

Hi all, I'm out sick w/the flu and juggling net neutrality for EFF, so am swamped + unwell. But I met an amazing lawyer who wants to help us! Does anyone have space and time this week to meet with him, let him know where we are in our process, and walk through any questions we have? This is indeed very exciting! Happy to put people in touch :] Best, April -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Sudo Room Date: Sun, 16 Nov 2014 21:30:12 +0000 From: To: April Glaser <april(a)eff.org> April, You may remember that we spoke very briefly at the Swartz memorial hackathon about Sudo Room's non-profit status and ongoing compliance woes. I am still interested in helping Sudo Room get its legal ducks in a row. Would you like to do a phone call or meet to talk about what needs doing? If you keep hours at EFF, we could certainly meet nearby. (I'm near 6^th and Mission, at least for the next few months.) Best, Kyle Kyle Mitchell Attorney at Law San Francisco

lighting in the ballroom?

by Marina Kukso

does anyone know what the stage and audience-area lighting situation is in the ballroom? (or if you don't know, could you point me to the right source of info?) also, still hoping to find out what the projector situation is in the ballroom and whether we can use the same projector that we used for BACH for the upcoming variety show. - marina

The application process is easy, and the deadline is coming up on December 15. There's info about the prize online here <http://www.tides.org/impact/awards-prizes/pizzigati-prize/>, including info on the application process <http://www.tides.org/impact/awards-prizes/pizzigati-prize/application/>, and past winners <http://www.tides.org/impact/awards-prizes/pizzigati-prize/winners/>. Magazines in Basement

by niki

Hey all! Awhile back someone from Sudo expressed interest in keeping the Scientific Americans that are in boxes in the basement. As part of our effort to meet fire code requirements, we need to find a suitable home for these. (We'll also need to move the library out of the basement, at least temporarily to pass inspections) Does whoever wanted them want to find a place and put them away? If not, we'll take them to the dump - perhaps let me know by next week if you can? xo N

Please check your recurring donations, or start giving

by yar

https://gratipay.com/sudoroom/ Last Thursday we got $570 from Gratipay. We were finally almost breaking even on monthly costs. Today it's at $485. In order to be sustainable in the long term, we'll need to be around $1000/week. Please check to make sure your credit card info is up-to-date! And please, if you're not already giving, please sign up. Even as little as $0.50/week makes a difference. Thank you!
