SudoInfo just received this email about an upcoming November event.
Is anyone interested in attending this event?
I'm interested in popping in and at least seeing what it's about.
I would be willing to go as a Sudo ambassador (to at least make contact
with the group/s who put this together) if no one else is interested/ free.

who will provide real-world challenge sets that support their mission: *"To

Heifer International is a non-profit working to end world hunger and
poverty through sustainable agriculture and community development programs.

I really would love to see an Omni-wide inventory management system that
has an integrated reservation protocol, which would help streamline aspects
of events like this. Unfortunately, this would be a lot of work to maintain
(I'm told).
So for now, I think having an online database with all of Omni's (and it's
collectives') open access tools/machines/etc with contact info for each is
the best way to go.
I.e. Sending a direct email or text to whomever owns/stewards the
tool/machine someone wishes to use, and the owner/steward keep track of the
item's calendar.
It's what people have already been doing, but I still see that there is
confusion around the topic.
I hope this helps a bit, but we ought to solidify this process into a
version that's more accessible to everyone.

The Omni needs funds. Dia de los Muertos is a thing. We would like to
introduce new people to the space and expand our community.
I have attached a flyer for a possible event, a funky transhumanist/Dia de
los Muertos themed costume ball. Should this happen? Is there a reason
anyone would like to block?
Also, steampunk zombies! Mechanical corpses! Post-singularity glittery
things covered in LEDs! Ordinary awesome humans!

brainstorming new ways to arrange the space. A lot of it hinges on
uncertainty about the robot arm. A while back we agreed it would move
against the west wall, but it hasn't happened yet. What are the
current plans for the robot? What needs to happen for it to move? How
can people help? Thanks!
