Att'n H4X0R's, makers and beta testers, noisebridge offers up Five Minutes
of Fame & Maker Faire Soiree this Thursday May 18th 20:00, 2169 Mission SF
Earth.
5MoF is back again just in time for Maker Faire.
Come join us for another evening of 5 minute 'âš¡' talks, an adaptation of
CCC's Lightning Talks. Our implementation is ten five minute talks in an
hour, with a short intermission so you can get another beer.
While 5MoF usually runs around an hour, will be hanging out into the
evening for socializing, mixing and mingling.

Hi!
They are selling the whole store. They have all sorts of equipment and
electric parts very cheap. 70% or 80% discounts. Random parts. They even
sell shelves themselves. Probably worth checking out.

Hello all,
I've recently signed up and have been following the discussion for SUDO room. I'm planning out my first VR gaming computer and would love to pick some brains and talk components and build process. I'm looking to learn how to create in Tilt Brush and develop Quantum Science visual educational environments.
Will there be anyone there tonight who might be interested in this topic?
Thanks

Anyone available to lend me a hand picking up a fridge this afternoon? Let
me know asap at (925) 989 3869.
Pickup is in South SF, so we will likely be gone for an hour and a half or
so. Just need someone to help lift it on the truck.
If anyone has a truck available, that would be a huge help as well.
Otherwise, I plan to rent a UHaul...
Thanks!
Patrik
i have to work late so i don't know yet when i'll get there
go ahead and start without me.
if you see new people arrive looking confused, please introduce them to the
space and other people and help them with whatever they're hacking on.
thank you,
-jake
Do we have any super low voltage (like 1.2V or lower) LEDs around?
Need them for a project and don’t have time to order them.
Thanks.

Hello Folks,
I have to get going, but if anyone needs more info about this issue,
please, let me know.
This donated switch (see subject) will be replaced, it is my bad.
I should have checked the logs after factory reset it, and before
configuring and putting it into production.
Ports 9,10,11,12 are reporting: "PD Other Fault indication"
For now, since the PoE feature its not being used on this switch, I turned
it off in all ports (1-24).
Thanks!

Hello Everyone,
There is an opportunity to have a radio interview with KPPFB 89.2FM (from
Berkeley), by next week.
I was asked if there is one or two of us interested for a 15 minutes radio
interview.
I was told that the interview is about what Sudoorom is, and learn thoughts
about Net Neutrality. Well, something like that.
If you are interested please let me know your name(s) and contact
information, so I can connect you with the interviewer.
Thank you, and please let me know!
Daniel

Great meeting last night! It warmed my heart and I love the idea of students coming to Sudoroom and working on projects as well as pitching in and helping clean the space 🚀 (it'll also teach them about equipment : kill two birds with one stone )
Hanging out at Sudoroom and becoming dues paying members is also a great way to get jobs i think. A google recruiter kept calling me because they liked my work at Sudoroom
Education is so important for our future and students should join, work on open source pay dues and educate their education
Oh yes here's a picture. Doesn't it look educational ?

Took another crack at trying to drill through holes with the mini CNC.
Short story, still doesn't work but I figured out why the origin/home is so
far away, at least when using KiCAD.
Notes: https://gitlab.com/snippets/1661557
I would be nice to upgrade the CNC to use a Smoothie Board, doing away with
the need to use Real-Time Linux, not sure if the owner would be keen, but
at $45 I feel it would be a worthy investment.
