nate or nathanial left his stuff in sudoroom

does anyone know a guy named nate or nathaniel who left all his stuff in sudoroom? a big backpack full of his stuff, notebooks, etc.. it was there when i left last night. people shouldn't expect their stuff to stay safe unattended, and i'm wondering where this person came from and went to and whether they're coming back. -jake

sudo finance update - check that you're paying your dues!

Greets all, *Please login to your account at sudoroom.org/humans <http://sudoroom.org/humans> and check that you're paying your dues.* - All recurring stripe plans total $1105/month, with 28 members paying through sudo-humans - We receive approx. $17/wk from Gratipay, or $68/month - We receive approx. $215/month via PayPal, with 4 members paying this way - Assorted cash donations average $50/month, with 2 members paying this way. Total recurring monthly income is *$1528/month *with *34 members *paying. According to sudo-humans, there are 146 'comrades' and 32 'members' - the real number of actual members is somewhere closer to 100. We need to increase our monthly income by *$930* to remain fiscally solvent. For the past couple of months, we have been able to pay our recurring monthly expenses ($2446 for rent/utils and $12 for our Digital Ocean server) thanks to the generosity of a single dedicated members (thank you!!) Folks able and willing to work on other fundraising schemes - grant applications, year-end fundraising letter, selling stuff, fundraising events etc welcome and appreciated. We could also very much benefit from more folks contributing to sudo-humans. i still think that if sudoroom managed the a/v aspect of event rentals & omni kept the general rent from same, not much would functionally change. all the working groups would be omni's & delegates would still make the decisions. sudoroom would merely handle the a/v side (which we currently contract out to trained members) most of the a/v stuff is sudoroom's anyway several sudo members are willing to start an a/v training program instead of splitting the building in half, we could split rentals...omni gets the space rental/sudo gets the a/v contracts which, if part of an educational program, will be considered charitable. i wish to invite you all to a meeting after this wed sudo meeting to discuss the viability of starting an open source curriculum based open source hardware/software a/v institute. ideas so far: pcb fabrication series dmx rgb led/laser projects analog circuit noisemakers vlc, open broadcaster, ardour3, lmms, pd, mapmap, blender, etc. tutorials a/v events as opportunities to teach one on one soundboard & dmx lightboard certifications for using house equipment liberated lens collaboration video/sound studios available at reduced rate for creative commons licensed material teacher compensation? if you can't make it & are interested plz respond in this thread or to me directly thank you ~r

borrow sudo projector

i'm getting free training at owhstudios.tv on video production/broadcast (they're aiming to open Oakand's public access cable channel). one the organizers there asked me if i had a hdmi projector they could borrow for a presentation they're giving next wednesday does anyone object to me taking sudo's white hdmi projector to owhstudios on tuesday & picking it up on thursday? i'll buy a new one (probably led) if anything happens to it additionally, they've shown an interest in helping us setup a video production studio here if anyone is interested
