help: anti-DAC resources?

Hey guys, a friend of mine who works for the city of Oakland and is meeting with the ACLU on DAC stuff (to fix this nightnare) has asked me for - a coherent, semi-formal argument against the DAC. - Language against specific aspects of the DAC like the shot spotters, facial recognition, etc. What they will be used for vs what they say they will be used for, etc. What resources do we have on hand that I can forward or write up for them? Poem instead of attendance at tonight's meeting.

Last week tunabanas and I went to represent sudo at Southern Exposure's grantees ceremony. (We hacked the acceptance speech, and showed artists they are probably hackers too.) It got me thinking, and I wrote this poem for sudo. After and before, all the silenced outcasts leave their trace, I myself learn electronics and genetics at sudo hackerspace. Well not quite, but then intentions are there An eager post-work brain doing what it can to care. And the movement's building, more people join us to rock-it, The latest anacho-syndicalists with a California nonprofit. When only a year ago we were crash test dummies, 2 grants in a row makes us flush with ca$h monies. -notconfusing

Quiet work area

Did anyone start a quiet work area at SudoRoom? This is ideally a table where people can focus, not be interrupted, or people near this area would be mindful & not talk too loudly. I think I witnessed something like this one afternoon. Noisebridge has a similar set up.. I like it a lot, I'd like to go to sudoroom and have a small mindful area free of people's phone conversations, or be interrupted by someone pitching their political movement or solar energy start up. (I've been interrupted constantly in the past this way and this is a constructive idea to solve that problem) To the folks who had a quiet mindfulness area: could we do this again?
