I was going to recommend InHomeMac, which was a repair
shop on Mandela and
10th St, but I can't find it online any more, so they may no longer
exist.... but they may have just moved or renamed. Anyway, going to a shop
is a good source of last resort. Hope it doesn't get to that if it's just
the charging module.

MAYBE IT IS NOT, BUT...
If the computer works, and only the charging part is not happening... i
would make sure the contacts are clean, using a dry toothbrush wouldn't
hurt. The power connector has a magnet property, a staple or something like
that could have gotten there; or simple some dirt.

eeesh I'm sorry to hear that. I would be a
little hesitant to let just
anyone work on that one, unless you really trusted them and their abilities.
I don't know how successful it would be, but if you took it to the apple
store and told them it wasn't charging and conveniently left out the part
where there was any water involved, you might have some luck....

right. it's a macbook pro retina (late

worst in terms of repairability.
