Comcast is evil, yes, but we can cancel anytime while we settle on our
provider of choice. (Sonic.net's 2-week delay in even getting a tech onsite
to provision DSL sort of makes that ISP like not the best choice and the
reason really we are in this pickle.)
Please, let's be very clear here. The delay is caused by AT&T. The
same delay would have happened for U-Verse or LMI internet. Sounds
like Sonic will be ready Tuesday and there's no way Comcast would be
ready before then if you order it on Monday.
This is a false binary between evil and slow. They are all evil, they
are all slow, and in this case Sonic will probably come soonest.
