Sierk: We can probably help set up a network, but it would need a
connection to the internet if people want to access the internet over it.
Unfortunately, I don't think that we have any connections to our main
network reaching to that location. If you can find people in the area
willing to share their internet connection, maybe we can help get the
connection to the encampment and set up an access point.

2) I won't be able to attend tonight. There is a city council meeting
tonight and "The Village" has a call out to pack the room. (It seems
urgent, there is a notice of pending eviction of the camp on Thursday.)
3) I think Matt Senate is on this already or also. Don't know if you have
his contact info. Do you want me to send it?
4) I do not know how urgent or possible installing mesh is right now. It
seems less possible after the info I received yesterday. Apparently Eli's
isn't willing to share their connection anymore after the city has put a
limit on their opening hours (apparently because Eli's let people from The
Village use their bathroom before there was a porta-potty, or so I'm told)
But again, thanks for the support, I will be in touch if I have more info.

Hello all,
I just received a request from the people over at The Village, the
encampment/occupation that was set up last week at the park on MLK & 36th.
They wanted me to ask if people at the Sudoroom were able to help them get
Wi-Fi set up over there. At one of last week's Assemblies Matt Senate
suggested that Sudomesh was probably able to provide hardware for setting
up an access point.
The latest info I have (a few days old) is that Eli's across the street
would be willing to share their connection, but I'm still verifying if that
case.
Would anyone interested to help be willing to either respond here, or
preferably via Signal (my number is 510-771-7463 <(510)%20771-7463>).
We can help. You should maybe show up tonight for our monthly open
meeting at 7:30 pm at sudo room.
