Ah, noted - and your approach seems feasible. I would try without
messing with adding an antennae to see how well the signal propagation
works.
Also consider adding an antennae on the camera hub side (if you can),
then you would be improving the propitiation/reception for all your
sensors.
Back in the 2004 era, there was the Bluesniper "rifle" tool to get
reception of around a half mile away.

The sensor was designed for indoor use only; however, I will be using it inside an IP65

I have one MT20 sensor in an IP65 enclosure at a different location. And, that one is
working fine, but the camera is way closer, 20 feet away.
