it took me a minute to find this link (thanks Patrik) reminding us how to use
the sudoroom laser cutter, but here it is.
Is there someone who is willing to meet with Zerena (cc'd in this email) who
wants to use the laser cutter?
actually i've been noticing a lot of interest in the laser cutter so it would
be good to schedule a training. I'd go.

There is actually a laser cutter in Sudo Room that we can use (and their 3D
printer may or may not be fixed again as well). The old page at RIT that
describes the laser cutter is no longer up, but here's the last version on
archive.org:

Instead of relying on an archived version of a 2016 RIT page, it would be
great to copy this info to the sudo wiki, and add all the sudo-specific
info about connecting the vent, which laptop to use, how to adjust the
focal height,which are the best local sources for high quality plywood, etc.

While I can’t add knowledge for using the laser cutter (would love to
learn!), I did go ahead and create a Wiki category for Tools and linked to
it on the Main Page. Maybe it should be made a standalone page with more
