We really need to put pressure on these F*!&^#(&-ing A*!&^#(&-holes at
the Boy Scouts of America. They really do not seem to care about the world we all
inhabit, and need to be put in their place.
MAKE, Sparkfun, Adafruit are into pressuring the BSA. If we can get a bunch of
hackerspaces to do the same, we will make an impact.

"us" fighting and losing is ok, but i think you need to fight it all the way…
think of a world where there are hacker scouts, learning sharing and it would all start
with a shared victory together over an old oppressive scared group trying to get in the

Wikipedia article mentions the exclusive use of the term "scout", but did
not provide a citation. I just added a [citation needed] tag.

Not sure why this grabbed my interest, but I did a little digging around
the use of the term "Scouts," and found this page:

interesting bits are in the "Litigation" section and just below.)
It seems that the claim does have some basis going back to the 19-teens,
but that the House Judiciary Committee and courts emphasized things like
the *intention* of creating confusion about the organizations (Boy Scouts
of America vs. United States Boy Scout), the importance of the integrity of
the *badges* awarded by the BSA, and the extensive public service provided
(at least at the time) by the BSA's projects.
Whether any of those apply in this case, I don't know…but I'm skeptical.
