Hey guys, so i'm back... with a proposition! With such a welcoming email
chain last time i replied about my start up, im thinking where all this
anger was coming from?
And so to try to resolve some hostility between two worlds (open tech
and closed tech), anyone down for an live IRC debate? A spill of opinion
between open tech (hackerspaces such as Noisebridge, SudoRoom) vs closed
tech (TBD). I want to host it.
Nubbii being an unbiased news platform, its feels right to be able to
discuss such matters between the two worlds.
Any takers? Of course I will have to find some closed tech people
willing to do this.

One thought about the closed side: anybody who has a VC stake in a company or who really
believes in intellectual property rights will have something to say.

Def. IP rights, for whom benefits/costs the most. Societal and
individual impact.
There are valid points on both sides:
a. Body structure (hierarchy vs community)
b. Cod Security (example: windows OS vs Ubuntu OS)
c. Society Impact
To name a few... if we could do the IRC live debate, the convo will be
posted for public view.
Of course some topics will have to be thought before hand (not strictly,
but a points of reference).

Agreed, live chat can get messy! arguements become personal and name
calling, which is a no-no. Text chating is a tool (think Meerkat or IRC
chats), and the use of it may, as you said Karissa, LEND to
positivity/negativity.
I really like the constructive cristism! Thank you. Its really good
feedback to make http://nubbii.com a better plaform!!!! I know sudoroom
has its own IRC channel... it would be nice to develop an IRC code of
conduct for touchy discussions.
