I spoke with Steve, the CL poster, and he said 3:30 would be best to meet
up and show the space.
Morten, Andrew, Ray, David, and anyone else who would like to check it out,
let's meet at 3:30 at 1924 Franklin (in front of the CoCo Cafe)!

We have those four giant light-box-storage things cluttering up the
space. A few days ago I started preparing to hang them from the rear
wall. I got sort of derailed by drama and uncertainty, but I'm making
up my mind to continue acting like this space IS sudoroom until
further notice. That said, I need a few strong people to help me
finish the job. Anybody up for it? How about tomorrow night
before/during/after Hacky Happer Hour? Mostly you will need to hold
each one in place while I get the first screw in, and possibly also
the second.
i resurrect the proposal for a day hacking in a museum. it could be node,
it could be python...
i'm inspired because i saw a lot of node people doing hacking in the museum
in sf. i'd like for us to do it too!
==> problem - museums do cost money. I have a membership and can get people
in +1 ... maybe we can go on a free day... but those are crowded?
==> benefits - there's so muchs tuff like the history section of the
oakland museum. i could see how this dovetails nicely into the oakland wiki
group... how could you NOT be influenced by all the cool stuff going on
there?
==> potential solution to money issues - we could buy group tickets or talk
to the museum to get a special deal for our starving collective???

I like meetings but I realized that if many people do not like meetings,
then it is partly our fault. yes ,meetings have to get done, but time is
precious.
i would like to help out with making meetings and cleaning less boring. ray
+ max have helped out a lot with bringing food, spicing things up!
for cleaning of natural decay--i propose we theme these as well.
we are theming our hacker happy hour for costume. i am hosting and will
wear a personally humiliating cosplay fanime outfit... so why not do this
for natural decay? anyone up for a french maid costume natural decay hour?

I'm starting a thread for Jordan's reprap project to make her own 3D printer
Jordan is humble but she's one of the smartest and hardest working people at sudoroom
She does stuff . It's amazing
I want to cheer Jordan on with her rep rap project! I am excited about her 3D printing open source project

Hello all! I'm emailing in response to all of your responses!
I think Aestetix made a really crucial point about Bike Smut seeking to
provide an alternative to exploitative pornography. Bike Smut is an
activist group that promotes sexual empowerment. Something that Aestetix
touched on, and that I really value, is that they approach their passions
through a show(ing) that is an act of radical free speech.
What is "child-friendly" is of course relative, so speak up anyone who has
an opinion on this. One important thing about proposing the event was that
we wanted to do it at a time generally associated with adult nightlife,
that being Friday Night.
I agree with //Matt et. al. that it should be obvious to anyone upon
entering 2141 that this event would be happening. Aesthetically-intriguing
and information-sufficient signage is an absolute must, and will be taken
care of. What would be the logistics of a curtain? I am intrigued..
I support all bouncers, mustachioed and otherwise.
Have I answered all questions? Are there more concerns?
Hey Sudo Room. Some good news out of our brother hackspace AMT

Hi all,
I recently started working the communications front for a super rad startup
called Open Garden. Essentially, OG is a mobile broadband network that uses
p2p mesh technology to provide internet connectivity between smartphones,
laptops and tablets.
Last night I hopped on a call with some folks in India who run a nonprofit
to help rural farmers tackle problems like soil testing, crop planning,
seed recommendation, etc; They're planning to install Open Garden on their
Android tablets and phones, pooling local networks of 2G and occasionally
3G mobile data to provide internet connectivity to the tablets.
It's a great team doing exciting work. Hit me up if you'd like to hear
more, or check out the link below. And btw, if you're looking for work and
want to hear about more opportunities, join the sudo-jobs mailing list
here: http://lists.sudoroom.org/listinfo/sudo-jobs
>From the call-out (https://opengarden.com/careers.html):
