Am showing the staircase office to a videogame company at 3pm Friday, could
you please try to clear the common area as best as you can and try to not
have the space populated, and please pass the message along to the public
school. Tks George
Hello at this week's meeting we made a new fundraising strategy, that is
participatory.
==Background==
Last year we won two *$4,000 cash* grants, and a *$2,000 3D printer* just
by being sudo room and filling out forms.
==New fundraising Idea==
1. Any sudoer can fill out, or add to this list of 41 grants to apply for.
2. The grant writers for an application will receive a recommendation at a
sudomeeting to get * 50% commission* for applying on sudo's behalf.
3. We organize on fundraising(a)lists.sudoroom.org , so sign up there to
discuss
==Medium-Term Strategy===
1. We think that if the Omni-move-in happens, we would like to fundraise
with them together as a unit. We will wait until July 1st.
2. If the Omni falls through, then we will have a sudo space individual
fundraiser. Idea is a harmonious-hackathon / pay-what-you-can dev bootcamp
one weekend. It can be paired with this idea:
2.1 Offer to host an RSVP Dinner w/ Francisco and Liberation Food Worker
Cooperative
Hi,
My broken ankle is healing. When the time comes I will soon shed my walking
boot, and in return for all that SudoRoom has given to me I would like to
organize the first:
*Russian bathhouse SudoRoom Bonding Experience*
Praveen has discovered a suitable Russian bathhouse in San Francisco.
Is anyone interested? I think a safe environment in which we can all be
*naked* and talk about important things like powerpoint slides, arduinos,
cooperatives, DAC, and feminist porn amid half-naked 50 year old russian
men pouring steaming water on themselves grunting is
*TOTALLY AWESOME.*

Hi Sudoers,
The City of San Leandro is having it's 105th Cherry Festival on May 31.
As part of that, we're organizing a MakeSL maker space that will have
all kinds of activities (an art wall, the maker dads, the Bay Area
Advanced Manufacturing Consortium of 3D printer, 3D scanner, laser
cutting and other companies, a mobile fab lab, and more).
As one of the organizers, I humbly invite you to spill south into our
Festival and show people how to create.
Anyone showing stuff at the BIG Maker Faire in San Mateo? If so, bonus
double duty just a few days later! Got (family-friendly) ideas for
Burning Man that you're dying to try out ahead? hey, give us a shout.
We're looking for fun. Would you like to join us?
Thanks for your time and consideration.

As a quick and easy fix, I just deleted the annoying
mostly-ineffective nagware (which moves a bunch of stuff back above
the fold) and added a more clear calendar link.
Open to more suggestions or help. We'd love to have folks with a
combination of front-end experience and good taste to help style our
wiki. I have a little ancient bit of the former and none of the
latter.

Happy to bump wiki credentials and give server access to any Sudoer
who demonstrates mild trustworthiness and asks. Just send me your
username or a public key :)
FYI. And to clarify, yes William Shelton is a member of sudo room.

Hi Matt-The tenants of 2141 do NOT have the right to be in the common area
without affiliation with the Sudo Room or the Public School. I was told
that William Shelton does, and hopefully he's not bringing them in as his
guests. You, David and any of your associates with The Sudo Room and The
Public School have the right, per us AND yourselves, to tell anybody not
affiliated with either of the groups to kindly stay out of the 2141 large
space.
Hey y'all,
minor point, but I'm hearing back from ppl that they can't find the Sudo
calendar any more - might some kind soul be willing to bump the calendar
button up the sidebar, and make it bigger..if no one disagrees?
I am happy to do it too but I don't want to step on any toes.
Best,
David
