Sorry for late notice, but my morning's cleared up and I can commit to
being at the bookfair! I'm going to be at Sudoroom around 8am to pack
up the printer and needed accessories and shoot for loading everything
into my car by 8:45. It would be nice to have help during loading and
unloading. I can pick people up in my car before or after this. I
can't stay until the end though - ideally I'd like to pack up the
printer mid-afternoon and then bring it to the Omni and set it up for
that event, but we'll see how easy it is to transport out during peak
hours.
Lemme know if you'd like to help!
Can someone clarify our current status?
I am interested in applying for a grant however these are the requirements
"I certify that the organization for which I am submitting this application
is eligible to apply for the Challenge. This means my organization is a
registered and recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a registered office in
the Bay Area. If you are a fiscal sponsor submitting an application for a
sponsored group, the sponsored group must also be located in the Bay Area. "
So do we qualify? Are we a 501(c)(3)
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Oakland Wiki <http://oaklandwiki.org> has partnered with Oakland Public
Library <http://oaklandlibrary.org/> to host a series of edit parties at
different branches of the library this spring!
See the event dates and locations at
http://oaklandwiki.org/Oakland_Wiki_Events
There's also a rad flyer that the wonderful librarians have made with all
the necessary info attached here.
FINALLY, if you're in Oakland tomorrow for first friday, drop by Sudo
Room<http://sudoroom.org>where we'll be Drawing
Oakland <http://oaklandwiki.org/Draw_Oakland>. We'll have art supplies and
will be drawing whatever we want about Oakland - its neighborhoods, people,
etc. We'll be scanning our drawings and uploading them to the wiki to
illustrate entries. If you want to draw a logo or illustration of your
neighborhood or a favorite park or taco truck, this is your chance :)
Best,
Marina

Wasn't there a group meeting at Sudo yesterday to organize against
this? How did that go?
