Garden Street Family Shelter is looking for assistance evaluating the quality of donated computers.

Hi all, Dennis from our Oakland Wiki crew asked me if I could fwd this to the sudo discuss list in case anyone has time this week to help a non-profit evaluate the quality of donated computers: "The Garden Street Family Shelter is receiving donated computers this week. However, they would like to assess the quality of the computers to ensure that they possess the capacity to service them. They are seeking assistance from someone with a technology background to look the computers over. The computers are currently located in downtown Oakland at the Private Industry Council. Coordinating Common Space!

Sudoers, The awesome Micaela from The Public School has launched a much-needed system for coordinating the common space at 2141 Broadway, and I've been adding content to it this afternoon: http://2141broadway.wordpress.com The calendar has been updated with the regular meetups and events that tend to use the common space throughout the week. The site also contains guidelines on having events & meetups in the common space, a form for proposing events, info on access and directions, some notes on safety, and soon, a safer space policy!
