Hello Bryan (and everyone), I've attended the CAST+OC and OC Delegates meetings, but I've missed some critical ones over the past two or three weeks. If anyone has corrections or additional information, please do share. Omni Commons is currently in foreclosure. Due to a tight timeline, CAST was unable to secure the funds needed to purchase and save the building. While there have been other potential partners interested in saving it, none of these efforts have been successful so far. *At the moment, I feel that I am not with the latest *on the negotiations in general, and specially with the ones with City in Motion. However, SudoMesh met a few days ago, and we agreed to come this Saturday and get the Sudo Mesh gear out of the cage, and bring it to a storage unit. If you want, you are welcome to come and help us. Quick update: Based on our lawyer, Jesse, foreclosure is actually on August *17* - still a few weeks away. Legally we should be able to repay the loan all the way up to the actual foreclosure auction, and the very earliest that auction can be scheduled would be September 6. So if worse comes to worst and we lose the building, we would still have more than a month before we need to vacate. I guess CAST wasn't working with the correct timeline, so they've told us they will make one final attempt at getting the recoverable grant they were hoping to line up (essentially a 1yr bridge loan at 0% interest). It also gives Philip Bell a bit extra time to line up the loan he's been pursuing. Meanwhile we've had at least two other individuals expressed interest in purchasing the building before foreclosure as well. So yeah, all hope is not lost! But meanwhile I would urge folks at Sudo to make contingency plans in case we do need to move out in a month. Figure out how much space Sudo really needs, how much rent you can afford, and which other organizations you might want to team up with in case you find a building too large for Sudo alone. CCL is already actively looking for candidate spaces - mainly on loopnet, but there should be deals available on CraigsList and through word of mouth as well. Help wanted! (I think its quite unfortunate that the may payment was not made on time, causing the notice of default on loan, but i'm not sure if we need to advertise that?) How might I get a fairly accurate income and expense statement for 2022 and 2023 for ONMI Commons?I can't do much without knowing the basic income from actual rents, either real or potential when all space is rented.I don't need a writable document, just some facts. May I see the background paper, even if it does mis identify the square foot by 50%, not for circulation. I am indirectly in touch with Mr Hendrickson through a performing arts nonprofit that I have worked for for almost 20 years. I have given them a lot of documentation re finances, building systems and needed repairs and improvements. The arts groups (this would be a partnership between two groups) are looking at the building tomorrow. They are looking at buying a building in the near future, so the issue for them is mainly if Omni’s building is a good fit for their needs. It’s possible that they will decide no. So perhaps if you could put me in touch with Jonah directly, that would be effective, as I think I/Safer DIY/ David K have the most information already organized. I will keep y’all posted. CCL Space hunters are finding spaces from 1800 to 5000 feet at about $3.00 a foot and more.Price sounds flexible when we talk with lessors.We could team up with sudo and get something similar to what we have , with a dry roof,for about twice the price. CCL is working to rework our membership plan to adjust to a high rent an to enable more programsin the new space.
