I haven't contacted them but it looks like this circuit board manufacturer is
willing to make boards for us in exchange for "promotion"
if the promotion is as simple as putting the fact that they donated production
of the circuit boards onto the circuit boards, maybe we can design a board,
like a musical badge or something, that people can build at sudoroom

During the Depression era the government funded journalists, artists and
photographers etc. to document how americans ate at the time. One of the
things they noted was the community cookbook, which was a book of community
recipes that were gathered and published, its proceeds donated to a charity.

Do we have a kind of cookbook? Why don't we assemble one. The recipes don't
have to be for food. It can also be "If you want to make the 1980s robot at
SudoRoom work you have to kick it several times"
=D we could put it up on gumroad

We embarked on our epic analog Learning Rust journey at SudoRoom
hackerspace, this time during the women & nonbinary hack night. Last week’s
session was really great to kick things off, and the format continues — no
slides, no presentation on a computer monitor, just people talking face to
face.

Yes, the meeting will be at 6pm June 27th, CAST will not be there in
person, so we can meet in the basement meeting room, or maybe at sudo
depending on how many people show up.

Should there be a faq on tours on the front page of our site with a fill out form?
We should also make a page “how SudoRoom is good and a potential site for educators “ - I’ll try to get on it!!!
SudoRoom overs a unique tactile experience and get kids and adults off screens and phones which parents are paying top dollar for nowadays 🤪🙈

we'd like to connect with #hackerspace
<https://x.com/hashtag/hackerspace?src=hashtag_click> in dense urban world
cities with great culture - know some folks in Tokyo, Berlin. Any folks in
London or Paris? Beijing?
Going forward I'd like to concentrate any "remote" efforts on reaching
folks who are - not in their houses - part of a cool hackerspace - in a
world city with public transportation such as Mexico City, Tokyo, London,
paris.
Do you know any?

Come listen to a fundraiser pitch about bike locks for Oakland Community
bike shops and have some good food. And please pass this on to whomever
you know might be interested![image: Screen Shot 2024-06-27 at 4.21.07

we started the let's learn Rust! series at the women and non binary night
but it became such a hit that people came during tuesday's hardware hack
night and now there is a coed (co binary :P ) Rust salon group ongoing.
The construct of the meetups are simple:
- no laptops opened
- no videos
- no presentations
- print if possible
- people talk face to face
Let's keep this going!

Hi Everyone!
CAST (Community Art Stabilization Trust) is offering to have a meeting to
talk to the larger OMNI community, the meeting will likely be tomorrow at
6pm.
You will be able to ask questions, and understand who they are and what
their mission is.
Is anyone at SUDO interested in showing up to meet them?
William
