Monday night ideas - Persian AI Tea - Women don't -have- to use AI but a lot fewer are knowledgeable about it than men!

I have been reading articles that women in general use AI tools much less than men. I don't think that people =have= to use it, but at AI meetups, unless people are already research scientists, I'm just seeing a lot fewer women and non-binary folks. Damaged usb thumb drive tonight at SoftWEAR and Hardware Hacking Night

Hi Sudoers: Jon from SF is coming to tonight’s SoftWEAR and Hardware Hacking Night with a Broken usb thumb drive with his taxes on it so it’s kind of an emergency for him: Broken usb thumb drive Sandisk Ultra Laptop fell over while in use, bending drive and making internal contacts disconnect Needs soldering, but I don't have much experience with things this small. Can those with good soldering skills help him tonight? Suggestions for programmable display

Hey Sudo Room! I'm in search of some suggestions, I'd like to build something that would give me a visual cue for when to water my plants (I have other similar needs as well, all related to how bad my memory is😂). You could say I could set an alarm on my phone, but I'd like to set a tiny display near my plants, that would go red when it's time to water my plants and green when I reset it after watering my plants. Probably need to code it to go red after 3 days or so. Need something small, I thought maybe this MicroBit can be a good option https://microbit.org/ Do we have one of these available at SudoRoom by chance? New blog post: our second darkmode - everything old is new again!

OUR SECOND DARKMODE FRIDAY WAS QUIETER AND MORE INTIMATE, FOCUSING ON “TRADITIONAL” ART FORMS OF DANCE AND PUPPETRY WITH BALINESE MUSIC, INDIAN ODISSI, AND THE ALVIN AILEY DANCE TROUPE We had a more chill second DarkMode this March with projectors set up, but it was pretty cool to focus on smaller themes with a smaller group of people. What happened in this version was less anime, weird LEDs, and instead chose more “traditional” performances to project onto the walls. It’s interesting how different the psychological effect is when the screens are less “square” and dancers appear all over the space on top of graffiti and equipment instead of a big white rectangle. We got chills down our spines projecting the classic “Revelations” <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDXerubF4I4> by the Alvin Ailey Dance Company. <https://ailey.org/> We would like to also bring more involvement with the dance community, and viewing dance at SudoRoom!
