Noisebridge is having a party
https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Noisebridge_%22_the_Bridge%22_Party
why doesn't SudoRoom have a party too? SudoROom people are really great at
partying. it would be a great way to raise funds. plus then rusty could
make the SudoRoom music video!

I asked if the …
[View More]locks work. They told me: "The lockers have spaces to
put locks, but currently do not have locks."
Do we still want them?

Hey guys,
For those in the eastbay who havent checked this out I would like to
tell you guys about freespace. its a artist collective that was suppose
to be opened only for the month of June. Anyways they did a crowdfunding
campaign and is opened for July.
The warehouse is completely artist runned, as in people
paint/spray-paint the walls, make a slides out of Styrofoam and a
ventilation pipe, have yoga classes, etc.
Its pretty cool for those who havent had a chance to come to SF near
…
[View More]SOMA.
Here's an excerpt from their website: [freespace] cultivates civic
hacks. It is hosted in a 14,000 square foot warehouse in San Francisco's
Central Market District. Through the gift of temporary, underutilized
physical space, [freespace] fosters creativity, community and civic
innovation. Join us at 1131 Mission St.
happy haxing

awesome work! although i think you meant to say
"flip the switch to allow the elevator to operate normally when sudoroom
is open (switch position OFF), and make sure to flip the switch back ON
(elevator lockout enabled) when you are closing sudoroom and leaving"
also, if the raspberry pi crashes it is not guaranteed that it will lower
the GPIO pin and allow normal operation of the elevator. You should
consider a watchdog program that does something if the raspi stops
responding.

Hi sudoers.
The sudo room elevator is now hooked into the sudo room access control
system.
Things you should know:
Only the ability to use the elevator from downstairs is under access
control.
When you use door.sudoroom.org to open the outer street-level door it will
also allow you to use the elevator for the next 40 seconds.
When you go to door.sudoroom.org you will notice that there is a new
button for the elevator. You only need to use this if you are not also
unlocking the street-level door. This will allow you to use the elevator
for the next 20 seconds.
The elevator button on door.sudoroom.org does not call the elevator, it
only disengages the lockout so that pressing the button will call the
elevator.
There is a manual override switch mounted just outside of the door leading
into the sudo room space. You can and SHOULD use this to disable elevator
access control when you are in the space, but BE SURE TO ENABLE ACCESS
CONTROL IF YOU ARE THE LAST TO LEAVE.
If the raspberry pi crashes, then the access control will disable and the
elevator will function normally.
