I cleared the edges of about 1.1 out of 3 windows. Some parts did come off fairly easily but most did not and several areas were so difficult it's unreasonable to do more than a bit with a hand tool. I ended up getting slightly better manual scrapers from the tool library but we really need a power tool. At least I'm personally unwilling to do more of this without one. Does anyone know which tool would be appropriate? The tool library did not have such a tool. Googling around a bit more - seems like all the professionals recommend using a razor blade scraper <https://www.homedepot.com/p/Anvil-Safety-Glass-Scraper-with-5-Blades-GS-ANV/309996468?MERCH=REC-_-searchViewed-_-NA-_-309996468-_-N> with a fresh blade, and always keep the surface *wet* with window cleaner or a soap solution. Apparently keeping the surface wet makes the scraping much easier and prevents scratching the glass with the razor blade. We might want to give that a try before we go to town with power tools on our windows...
