Googling around a bit more - seems like all the professionals recommend
using a razor blade scraper

with
a fresh blade, and always keep the surface *wet* with window cleaner or a
soap solution. Apparently keeping the surface wet makes the scraping much
easier and prevents scratching the glass with the razor blade. We might
want to give that a try before we go to town with power tools on our
windows...

We could try the pressure washer, but I kinda doubt it

There's a variety of rotary brushes that can be chucked into a drill, of
course. A regular metal drill brush might scuff up the glass, but perhaps a
brass brush wouldn't? There's also nylon drill brushes that might do the
trick. Ditto for paint stripping discs for an angle grinder. I think
there's some scraping tools for the oscillating multi-tools as well.
I believe latex paints are typically susceptible to heat guns and chemical
paint strippers as well, of course...

I cleared the edges of about 1.1 out of 3

unreasonable to do more than a bit with a hand tool.
I ended up getting slightly better manual scrapers from the tool library
but we really need a power tool. At least I'm personally unwilling to do
more of this without one. Does anyone know which tool would be appropriate?
The tool library did not have such a tool.

Hi sudoers!
We had an unfortunate incident with the new protective coating on our
roof where the roof windows got coated as well. It's some latex type
substance and CCL tells us it isn't too difficult to get off.
Is anyone up for helping with a couple of hours of scraping tomorrow
(Saturday) from 3 pm to 5 pm?
I'll bring scrapers and we'll lay down some 2x4s across the windows so
people be in danger of falling through the glass.
