hi, anyone at sudoroom who does backend (ruby, etc) interests in
collaboration ? I do front end iOS stuff.
i'm aware of back end services like parse, stackmob, etc.
would be just nice to find people to code with and talk to... i think i'm
dominating the sudoroom github right now so that needs to be remediated
with some cool collars as well!

Hi everyone,
Just a reminder that we'll be having "Today We Learned" open
co-learningtime at Sudo Room
today from 2-5PM.
Come learn and hack with us!
Tiny amount of details at https://sudoroom.org/wiki/Today_We_Learned
Best,
Marina
PS - If this is your first time at Sudo Room, the best way to get in is
from 22nd St (between Broadway and Telegraph) and to take the elevator
upstairs. We'll be there!
Wondering if anyone else is having issues feeling like some of the
servers may not have their best interest in mind. My suspicions
started when seeing NSADutch etc come up there, and now there's a
range of sketchy-ness and badass-ness if you look at the network map
as you browse, especially if you're an activist. I have to continually
be closing out these portals to defeat "InvincibleAI," for example.
Since as I understand it tor is an evolving project, is what's going on:
a) it turns out anyone can make a server... so there's some percentage
of those who will take traffic and data and not have your best
interests in mind?
b) this is fine perfectly safe, none of the data and traffic is stored
on these servers?
c) there's other things with privacy we have to collectively worry
about, like what information we give to companies and their integrity,
d) this is a battle it's evolving and so we don't really know yet?
e) some other hack-option?

Hi Folks,
At the meeting wednesday we talked about the space thing for a short while, and one of the points that was brought up is that we are kind of snowballing toward some larger goal and movement here regardless of what form the nuts and bolts take. I have not been to any of the Omni meetings because of the location, but the more I hear, the more I understand that some kind of serious and I hope irreversible momentum is building. I don't think sudo/BAPS's current location is perfect, but it might be beneficial to try to attract one or more additional group to 2141, maybe in the other small room as a temporary measure. There is some sense that George would be more relaxed if he were able to rent out more of the upstairs space. I'm not betting one way or the other, but that could be a potential fringe benefit secondary to the main goal of building momentum and stabilizing various orgs' membership and resources. I say this not to delay moving to a new space, but hopefully quite the opposite, to bring that point closer by reducing the perceived risk through knocking out some unknowns and generally building rapport between members of the various orgs. I'm sure alot has probably been discussed at the omni meetings, but what are peoples' thoughts?
Happy Friday,
Hol
anyone know how to use the CNC mill? I am thinking of going to sudo
tonight to mill something and it would be easier if someone can show me
how to do it, rather than figuring it out.
maybe i'll just call on the telephone before i go over.
or is there a wiki page for the thing?
